Moab Scenic Adventures operates this website and the guided tours booked through it. We are based at 2182 S Hwy 191, Moab, UT 84532, and we are responsible for the information described on this page.

When you send us an inquiry

Our contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, group size, the tour you’re interested in, a preferred date, and a message. We use those details only to answer you and help plan your trip. The submission reaches us by email through our email provider, Resend.

When you book a tour

Bookings and payments are handled by FareHarbor, our reservation platform. When you book, you provide your details directly to FareHarbor and they share the booking information we need to run your tour — your name, contact details, party size, tour and date. Payment card details go to FareHarbor and their payment processor, never to us. Their handling of your information is governed by FareHarbor’s privacy policy.

Analytics — only if you allow it

If you choose “Allow” on our banner, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. These tell us things like which pages are visited, which tours get attention, roughly what part of the world visitors come from, what device and browser they use, and which site referred them. We use this to improve the site. It is not used to identify you personally, and we do not sell it.

If you choose “Decline”, no analytics load at all — not in a reduced or anonymised form. Every page works exactly the same either way.

Automatically, by our web host

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like nearly all web hosts, their servers keep short-lived request logs — IP address, browser type and timestamps — which exist to keep the site running, secure and fast.

We keep this deliberately short, because there is not much to list. Nothing below is used for advertising.

• Your analytics choice — stored on your own device (local storage, msa.analytics-consent) so we remember your answer and stop asking. It is written only once you answer.
• FareHarbor booking widget— our booking provider’s embed loads on the site so a “Book” button can open the reservation window, and it stores an identifier (fareharbor-uuid) on your device to connect your visit to a booking. Because it is part of how booking works, it is present whatever you choose about analytics.
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar) — only after you choose “Allow.” Decline and they are never set.

You can change your mind about analytics at any time using the Cookie settingslink at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing is as easy as granting — choosing “Decline” reloads the page so nothing keeps running.

Your browser also gives you control over cookies and site data directly, including clearing what this or any site has stored.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent — as we do for analytics — you can withdraw it at any time.

Visitors in the EU and UK: we rely on your consent for analytics, and on our legitimate interest in answering you and running your tour for inquiries and bookings. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: you may request access to or deletion of your personal information, and correction of inaccuracies. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of providers to run the business, and they receive only what they need to do their job:

• FareHarbor — reservations and payments
• Google — analytics, only with your consent
• Resend — delivering inquiry emails to us
• Vercel — website hosting

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests and guides.

We keep inquiries and booking records for as long as we need them to answer you, run your tour, and meet our tax and insurance obligations. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and is not linked to a named individual.

Our tours welcome families, and children travel with us often. This website, though, is intended for adults making a booking — we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information through this site, contact us and we will remove it.

We operate in Utah, and the information described here is processed in the United States. If you are visiting from elsewhere, you are sending your information to the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your home country.

When we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
